Waterfront Kayak, Cape Town

Waterfront Kayak is a 100% Black owned sea kayaking company, based in Cape Town, that is affiliated to Yacoob Yachts which is a charter yacht company that was established in 1995. It consists of the Tigresse and Ameera catamarans, the Jolly Roger Pirate Boat and Zinathi, a harbour tour vessel. Our offices are situated at Quay 5 at the V&A Waterfront and the kayaks are launched from the Oceana Power Boat Club in Granger Bay

Waterfront Kayak is an active member with African Paddling Association Sea Kayak Chapter to ensure that Kayak safety standards and Kayak Guide qualifications are consistent throughout the industry.

Our sea kayaking business is focused on appreciating nature and the preservation of the ocean. Kayaking is one of the best low carbon footprint way of exploring the ocean and a great way to exercise! Our trips are for all levels of paddlers and are thoroughly enjoyable. Beginner are welcome.

On our sea kayaking trips, You will experience the Cape Town Atlantic seaboard coastline up close from Granger Bay to the Green Point Lighthouse. We encounter dolphins, seals, penguins and sunfish on our trips. Although this cannot be guaranteed, we encourage you to look out closely for them.

Not only are our trips suitable for individuals, but we also offer school trips at discounted prices, where we educate learners about respect for the ocean and about our majestic coastline. Our trips operate seven days a week (weather permitting) and are great for a birthday party or a corporate 

event or team building (see our specials page for group discounts).

Our sit-on top sea kayaks are made locally in South Africa . They are very stable and secure.

Our sea kayak Guides are well trained, qualified, experienced and professional. 

All Guides also have a Level 3 First Aid Certification.
